Nolen Turns 2!

Nolen turned 2 on December 19th. It's hard to believe that he is already 2. It just seemed like yesterday that I was in the hospital having him.

Alexis got him a monkey that rolls & laughs. The laugh is contagious & so funny. We will have a lot of fun with this toy.

He is peeking at his gifts. He doesn't need big sister to help him open his presents this year.
Nolen tries out his 4 wheeler from Grandma & Grandpa Lynn.
Fun with his monkey. Nolen loves to eat bananas and he even has PJ's that have monkeys all over them. He is our monkey boy!

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY NOLEN!

Our beautiful family!
These photos were taken in front of our Christmas tree.

I just love Nolen's expression in this photo. He seems so serious.

I just love her smile!

The Big One Has Been Hit

Here is the 10 pointer in action 6 days before he was brought down. Photo taken by Pete's trail camera. After Pete saw this photo, the hunt was on!

Here is Mr. 10 pointer at night. I think the deer was saying, "Come get me if you dare"!
Oh yes Pete was up for the challenge & won, but only after a miss three days before. On Saturday he got a second chance at Mr. 10 point.
Alexis & Nolen were so proud of their daddy!

Greg came up from KY to spend a week and a half with us to hunt.

It's deer season & Pete is looking for the big buck.

My cutie with her glasses.

Alexis poses with Thomas & Emily at the city park.

Nolen enjoys playing in this bucket. He thought it was so funny when Mark carried him around in it.

Trick or Treat?!

Alexis was a ballerina, I was a cook, and Nolen was
a hunter this year.

Pete dressed up like the guy from Scream. It took a while for the kids to get used to his mask. It scarred them at first, but then they got used to it. I think the drive thru lady at McDonald's enjoyed Pete wearing his mask.
Stopped by to see Great Grandpa Rule.

Alexis is on a sugar high! She wanted to eat all the candy she got & I had to limit her. She got to visit her teacher's house for a treat. We even stopped by our old house in town to get treats.

Saturday night was our annual Halloween party. After looking back and counting everyone, I believe we had 48 people here. Some came in costume. We cooked hot dogs, passed out glow sticks, and had a hay ride. It was a perfect night for the party. Just as we were getting ready to eat, Nolen fell off the swing set and hit his head on a large rock. We first thought he cut his ear, but when we cleaned him off, I noticed the bump and cut on his scalp. He was pretty clingy the rest of the night. He seemed to be doing well by Sunday.

Bentley as Tinker Bell and Alexis as a Ballerina.

Braden as Handy Manny, Avery as Verizon phone guy or construction worker (guess I need to ask Jodi to see just what he was), and Nolen as a hunter.

Kids painted faces on tin cans & took them home along with a treat bag full of goodies.

Hudson as a tiger. He is showing me his roar.

Cute Finn found a ball to play with, though Nolen got a little jealous.

Pete's Birthday cake. Happy 35th!

Parent Day

This Wednesday was Parent Day in Alexis' classroom. I finally was able to meet her teacher. Her classroom is called Bearyland. Her teacher LOVES bears. Here is Alexis with her Kindergarten teacher. Her exact words were, "Alexis is fun". HMMM that could mean several different things.

This LARGE bears sits outside the classroom.
Alexis wearing her doggy ears. The kids sang "Who Let the Letters Out" to the tune of "Who Let the Dogs Out". It was so cute to see them all singing it. Alexis had been practicing around the house.

Alexis & her classmates singing. I think her teacher is also teaching them sign language because she was signing the letters as they went through the alphabet.
