Things have been busy for the Seals' Family lately. Alexis FINALLY lost her first tooth. It was loose for months & the new tooth was halfway in before it came out.
A deer hit my new car a few weeks ago & did $1,200 worth of damage. We were very lucky that it wasn't bad at all. Just looks like someone keyed the side of my car. Mr. Deer had big antlers & I saw them up close when it looked like the deer was looking in my window right before I heard the thud. This happened a few miles north of the house. My car goes to the body shop next Wednesday through Friday to get fixed so I'll be driving the truck for a few days.
Nolen has used the potty chair some. I made him a sticker chart & he likes getting stickers. Though he probably won't be potty trained until this summer, he gets the idea of it all. I'm so ready for the diaper stage to be over with. He had a fever for two days this week. Not for sure what was wrong with him because he ate well and played & acted fine. So glad he wasn't puking all over the place like last time.
Alexis participated in the little dance camp at East Richland. She had a blast and did some showing off before the performance during half time. Glad we got it all on tape for when she is older.
Pete has been working 6 days a week most of the time now. All this rain is really not helping. As I'm typing this the lights have flashed off & back on because were getting more rain & it's windy. Alexis will probably end up in our bed tonight because she is scared of storms.
Went to the Dr. a few weeks ago and he said I had fluid in both ears. Took the medicine for a little over a week and I'm still dealing with pressure in my head and my ears plugging up. Had a bunch of headaches as well.
Went to the eye Dr. last week and was hoping to order new frames, but insurance won't cover new ones until December. So I'll wear my old ones until then, but wearing them causes headaches. Not wearing them causes headaches as well. I just can't win here! Dr. said I should wear them all the time & get used to them cause my new ones will be even stronger. LOVELY! Am I wearing them now? NOPE!
I've been working out at the gym, but not seeing much difference lately. Pete & I decided to order the P90X workout program & do the 90 day program together. We've both decided that we want to look & feel better. I don't sleep well at night & he gets worn out from work. So we are hoping this program works for us. It should arrive in the mail next week. We're not expecting to look like the people in the videos, but know it will help us. We also know we must start eating better than we have been. Glad it comes with recipes cause my cooking is definitely not healthy, though I have been eating more salads and I never ate them while growing up. Hoping to look & feel great when I turn 35 this summer.
Alexis is turning 6 in a few weeks. Pete & I are taking treats to her class on her birthday. That evening she is having a swim party at the Holiday for all of her friends and family. Her birthday theme is Wall-E. She really wanted this last year, but I talked her into My Little Pony instead. I was hoping she would be over Wall-E and on to something else, but for some reason she is addicted to this silly Disney movie. So Wall-E it is this year. The stores really don't carry Wall-E stuff anymore, so I had to order everything online. Wal-Mart did order the kit for the Wall-E cake, so that was great. Things I will do for my little girl, but I'll blink and she will be all grown up.
No pictures to post this time. It's starting to really rain & blow hard outside and I just heard it thunder. Alexis will be moving into our room soon & I haven't even went to bed yet. Might just be a long night. Glad I got a nap in today. Tomorrow is church and then I'm taking Alexis to see the Tooth Fairy at the theater. Her best friend is supposed to be there as well. I'm sure we'll have a blast.
I don't see things slowing down for us for a while. Kids, work, and other stuff really keeps us busy around here. This summer we plan on adding onto the house. The kids will finally have rooms to themselves. I'm just glad we will have more closet space for their stuff. Toys seem to multiply like bunnies around here. I know we're not the only family with this problem.

Big Ol Truck
Nolen & Alexis enjoy their new ride.
It has a working radio, cup holders, and tow hooks on the front.
Works good in the snow!
