Saturday night around 8:00 Nolen decides to hit hit eyebrow on the knob of an end table. As we decided whether of not to take him to the ER, a storm was about to hit. We waited about 30 minutes and took him in. I was wondering how we were going to hold him down for stitches. Luckily they just glued the gash shut. Pete said he could have saved a lot of money and just super glued it. Guess we didn't make it through the summer without an ER visit. My kids and their eye injuries! Nolen is like a bull dog and he is very accident prone.

This photo was taken while we waited in the ER. Nolen only gets his pacifier at bed time, but we thought we'd let him have it considering the injury and it calmed him down.

Does anyone know what kind of butterfly/moth this is? This thing was HUGE! If I put both my hands together and pretend it is a butterfly, that is how big this thing was. It about landed on my head while I was outside picking up sticks Saturday afternoon. The body was as big as a fuzzy caterpillar. Just wondering if anyone had seen anything like this at their house. Maybe I'll look it up on the Internet. I thought it was injured, but after I moved it with a stick, it decided to fly away. Looked like a bird flying.
*My other Saturday story goes like this: While still picking up sticks outside and the little ones napping inside, I look up and notice a coyote chasing a baby deer across our field. I knew who was going to win that race. So the coyote kills and drags the deer toward the fence row. As I'm grabbing the phone to call Pete, I notice another coyote chasing another baby deer. Great, another death right in front of me. This coyote sees me and drops the deer and trots off toward the fence row. I finally got a hold of Pete on the phone & he was just up the road on his way home. He said to stay in the shed and out of sight and the coyote would come back after his kill. So he got the gun ready and held it out the shed window. In about 5 minutes that coyote came into view and was ready to come get his supper. Needless to say, he didn't eat supper, Pete got him. I couldn't believe what was happening right in front of me! It really shook me up. Pete has my message on his voice mail and he calls it my 911 call. I did manage to run into the house to get the video camera, but I only got a few seconds of the coyote running away and the battery went dead. Go figure! What a crazy day!
